Import XLSX, XLS, CSV, and ODS files, edit cells and common formulas, and export a Microsoft Excel workbook.
Update a spreadsheet without installing an app
Open an XLSX, XLS, CSV, or ODS file to edit cell values, supported formatting, and common formulas. This is useful for a small budget, a stock list, or a table you need to correct. Choose Download XLSX from the File tab when you are ready to save a copy.
Check larger or more complex workbooks
The editable area is limited to 2,000 rows and 100 columns per worksheet. During the current tab session, imported cells outside that area can remain in the download. Inserting or deleting rows or columns changes this: only the editable region is then exported. Keep the original if your workbook is larger.
Do not assume every desktop Excel feature will behave the same way here. Review formulas, charts, and other advanced workbook structures after export. A CSV input contains a table of values, not the formatting and multiple sheets of an Excel workbook.
Save your changes as a workbook
The output is XLSX, even when you start from CSV or ODS. LocalOffice processes the workbook on your device. Download it before closing the tab; a browser draft is not a substitute for a saved file, especially when an imported workbook contains data outside the editable area.
