Add formatting to a short document
Open an RTF, HTML, or TXT file, or start with an empty page. Adjust fonts, colors, lists, and alignment to prepare a formatted note or a short handout. Choose Download RTF to save your work.
Understand the RTF download
The exported RTF uses the editor's core text formatting model. Advanced formatting from the original may change, so open the result in its destination application to check it. Importing HTML gives you editable content; this editor is not a way to preserve a complete website and its styling.
The download is RTF even if you opened HTML or plain text. If you need a DOCX document for another person or application, use the Word Editor.
Keep your original and your finished copy
LocalOffice reads and processes the file in your browser. It does not overwrite your source file when you import it. Save the RTF download before closing the tab, and keep the source until you have checked the result. A local browser draft is useful for resuming work, but can disappear if site data is cleared.
